Learning Support System

We support students’ learning by providing academic consultations in students’ native languages as well as in English, offering individualized instruction outside regular class hours, and sharing useful learning resources. In collaboration with student guidance staff and local educational institutions, we also provide online instruction when necessary.

For students with poor academic performance, we offer remedial classes and assign additional tasks. We also provide guidance on entrance exam preparation for individual universities, as well as other career and academic counseling outside regular class hours.

Learning is further supported through ability-based class placement according to students’ academic levels, and personalized guidance based on their desired career paths and university goals.

Attendance Management System

Attendance is managed through Excel to ensure up-to-date records. When a decline in attendance is identified, students are promptly interviewed and provided with guidance.

Homeroom teachers report students with poor attendance to the student guidance staff on a weekly basis. Attendance records are reviewed monthly, and students with attendance issues are called in for guidance. Records are maintained in the system, and support is provided in cooperation with local educational institutions and parents or guardians to improve attendance.

Support for Transfer in Case of Disasters, etc.

Based on a planned framework to support student transfers, we arrange transfers to other schools and provide related assistance in a manner that best aligns with each student’s needs.

In the early stages following a disaster, we work in cooperation with Nagata Ward to stabilize students’ living conditions. Once stability is restored, the Japanese Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education takes a leading role, and member schools collaborate to support student transfers.

By facilitating transfers to member schools in regional areas or allowing students to temporarily use classrooms at member schools, we ensure an environment in which students can continue their studies without interruption.

Student Guidance System

To ensure a safe and comfortable student life abroad, we inform students of school rules and important precautions when engaging in part-time work. Regular interviews are conducted to review students’ living conditions and academic/career progress, and to provide appropriate guidance and advice.

In terms of daily life, academic and administrative staff work in close coordination to provide support tailored to each student’s individual circumstances. Homeroom teachers conduct regular interviews, and depending on the situation, student guidance staff, local educational institutions, and parents or guardians collaborate to provide appropriate support. We also work in cooperation with the police department and Nagata Ward to share relevant information and provide guidance as needed.

Regarding career pathways, homeroom teachers conduct regular interviews to provide guidance, and dedicated career counselors also offer individualized support.

Health Checkup System

The school conducts health checkups twice a year, and students are required to undergo a medical examination once a year. Students who report a medical history or pre-existing health condition are supported in accessing appropriate medical care. When students are unwell, staff members who can provide interpretation support assist them whenever possible.

Support for Residence Status Continuation / Cooperation with Employers and Local Governments

During the in-school guidance session for visa renewal, we confirm the required documents and verify permission for activities outside the student’s status of residence. The renewal procedures are carried out by the school on behalf of students through the school proxy application system.

Orientation sessions on daily life are conducted immediately after enrollment and at the end of each academic year. We also manage and monitor permission for such activities and arrange student dormitory housing.

For prospective students, interviews are conducted to directly assess financial support capacity and Japanese language proficiency. If any inappropriate intermediaries are found to be involved, admission will not be granted.

During enrollment, we accurately monitor students’ activities outside their status of residence. At the time of admission and status renewal, country-specific orientations are conducted to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Faculty and staff are thoroughly instructed to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and appropriate reports are submitted to the relevant authorities. We also provide consultation on student housing and other living-related matters as needed.

Other Support Systems

Students who feel anxious about visiting hospitals in a foreign language are provided with support, including referrals to medical institutions, appointment booking assistance, and interpretation services when necessary.

We conduct disaster preparedness drills twice a year and provide student guidance in cooperation with the local police department. Student support is provided in collaboration with Nagata Ward.
